These clogs are slip cast. The mould was made from an original pair of wooden Dutch clogs. They are Glazed with a deep red crackle glaze and then fired. Then they are sprayed with Gold Lustre and refired. The lustre takes on the same crackle as the the glaze underneath. These clogs are purely decorative. They tarnish over time, however like real gold, they just need to be polished up and then they sparkle. Lustre contains real gold elements.
